Mark's Last Day of School

The Countdown Chain!

Baylee and I made this countdown for Mark's last day of school! We made it when he had 25 days left and now it's finally almost over!!!

This is Mark's last day of school dance! He got the idea from a tradition one of his buddies has. Basically you do a dance to celebrate your last day of school!
Mark has been going to night classes two days a week at the University of Utah for a little more than 2 years! He's gone three semesters a year, so we haven't even had summers off!
I'm so proud of him! He has worked so hard and has gotten excellent grades! He thinks that when he get's his grades back from his last two classes he should have a 3.7 gpa!
Mark had his last day of class on Thursday, but he's not quite done. He has one paper that he's almost finished with, and will hand it in on Monday or Tuesday! Then he will officially have all of his work done, and I will finally have my husband back!
Maybe now it's my turn to go back and get my master's. . . maybe that won't happen for awhile!

It's a Boy!

Mark and I went to the doctor on Friday and found out that we are having a baby boy! While we were in a the waiting room Mark texted a bunch of people and said it was their last chance to guess. Most people guessed boy, but Mark and I still thought it would be another girl.
While the doctor was doing the ultra sound I was looking at it and I could totally tell it was a boy before the doctor even said anything. So we were suprised but we are way excited!
Now the hard part is finding a name! If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them! Right now I like Peyton, Bryton, or maybe Hinkley but things could change so give me ideas!

Weber State vs. Utah State

We went to the Weber State Men's Basketball game on Friday! They lost to Utah State :( But it was still a fun game!

Mark has taught Baylee to love WSU! She will often say Weber State great great great! Or Go Wildcats!

Baylee's Alphabet

This is proof that Baylee watches way too much Sesame Street! She almost has the alphabet down. . . minus a few letters :) p.s. don't mind my messy living room Baylee likes to take out the contents of my primary bag and spread them around!
One of her favorite things to watch is Sesame Street all-star alphabet. She almost has it memorized.

Halloween Fun

We had lots of fun this Halloween season! First we carved pumpkins with the Zaugg Family!

Here are all of our pumpkins! Except Mark's cause he was still working on his.
This is Marks awesome pumpkin!
Baylee and I made sugar cookies one day. . . Baylee loves messy stuff so she though it was fun!
Baylee helped decorate them too! (If i visit teach you don't worry I made those cookies while she was napping!)

This was the spook alley at our ward Halloween party! Baylee thought it was cool . . . we went in it like three times!
Baylee was tinkerbell and I was a pirate! I tried to talk Mark into being Peter Pan but he said he couldn't find any green tights!
This was everyone dressed up at work! It was fun to work on Halloween and we got to close early so that was even better!

We went trick or treating at Nana and Papa's house!
Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's and Baylee loved opening the door for the trick or treaters!
Happy Halloween!

Big Sister!

We have big news!  Baylee is going to be a big sister!  Yep, I am about 10 weeks along!  We are so excited!
I got this "big sister" shirt for Baylee to surprise our families!  It was a really fun way to tell them!
I ordered her shirt online and it took longer to come then I thought it would so I was waiting forever!  But the night before it came I had a dream that when it came it said "Girl Power" on it instead of "Big Sister" so I was really sad in my dream cause no one would know I was pregnant if she was just wearing a shirt that said "Girl Power" lol!

This is us telling my family!
This is us telling Mark's family!  As you can tell Baylee was super cooperative for pictures!

Congrats Steph and Matt!

My sister Stephanie got married on Friday to Matthew Caldwell! We are so excited for them! It was such a fun day. Everything was beautiful! Especially Steph!

I love the Ogden Temple! Mark was very happy that they got married there so we didn't have to drive far :)

Baylee's Birthday!

Baylee turned 2 yesterday!  We had a party at my parents house on Friday.  Then yesterday we had a party at our house with Marks Family.  (My parents were out of town yesterday. . . that's why we had separate parties).
On Friday Baylee got Elmo Live!  She loves it so much!  She also got a fun new Busy book that will hopefully keep her busy during sacrament meeting!  Yesterday she got some clothes, a castle, and a new baby doll!
I can't believe my baby girl it two already!  The best part was after the party I gave Baylee a big hug and she said, "Thank you Mom!"  No joke she really said that!  It was so cute!

Mark's Last day!

Mark and Baylee on his last day at ORS!

More good news! Last Monday Mark had a job interview for a position with the Department of Environmental Quality.  On Wednesday they called him and said that he got the job!  He had his last day at The Office of Recovery Services yesterday!  Baylee and I went to visit him and help him bring his stuff home!  I think he will really miss working with the people that he worked with! It's been a really great job for the past 2 1/2 years!
We are really excited for his new job! He will be doing something that involves air quality, lead and asbestos. . .or something like that!  Mark just started his last semester in the MPA program at the University of Utah. So he'll finish that in December! Yeah!

Big girl bed and Snowbird trip!

We have big news Baylee has graduated from her crib and is now in her big girl bed! As you can see she could not be happier about the change!
Mark and I had been planning on converting her crib into a day bed sometime after her second birthday. But Baylee likes to do things her own way! Last Tuesday night she woke up and refused to go back to sleep for almost 3 hours! I would put her in her crib and she would cry and cry! It was almost 5 o'clock in the morning and I told Mark that if he went and got her I was pretty sure she'd go to sleep for him. But when he went in her room he smacked her with the door because she had climbed out of her crib and was standing by the door crying. We tried to get her to go back in her crib but she was not having it and climbed right back out.  So at 5:30 a.m. Mark took the front of her crib off and she slept in her big girl bed for about three hours.
Then on Wednesday we went to Snowbird.  So Baylee didn't get to sleep in her big girl bed for two nights.
We had a lot of fun in Snowbird Baylee loved the swimming pool and the playground! We also went on a little hike and just rested in our room!
This is a new thing Baylee has been doing with her shirts.  Again she likes to do thing her own way. . . I'm not quite sure how she does this but she's done it more than once.

This is Baylee relaxing with some watermelon and watching the wiggles!
Anyway so when we got home from Snowbird I was worried that Baylee wouldn't sleep in her bed, but she has done really well so far!  Every night she climbs in bed and goes right to sleep.  During nap time for the first few days I think she played more than she slept, but this week she's been pretty good at taking naps again!

Family Pictures!

We had family pictures taken last week!  I thought that they turned out pretty good!  But of course Baylee refused to smile pretty much the whole time but what can ya do?

The Weber County Fair

We took Baylee to the fair on Friday!  It was lots of fun.

Baylee loved feeding the sheep and goats!
