Baylee's Birthday!

Baylee turned 2 yesterday!  We had a party at my parents house on Friday.  Then yesterday we had a party at our house with Marks Family.  (My parents were out of town yesterday. . . that's why we had separate parties).
On Friday Baylee got Elmo Live!  She loves it so much!  She also got a fun new Busy book that will hopefully keep her busy during sacrament meeting!  Yesterday she got some clothes, a castle, and a new baby doll!
I can't believe my baby girl it two already!  The best part was after the party I gave Baylee a big hug and she said, "Thank you Mom!"  No joke she really said that!  It was so cute!

Mark's Last day!

Mark and Baylee on his last day at ORS!

More good news! Last Monday Mark had a job interview for a position with the Department of Environmental Quality.  On Wednesday they called him and said that he got the job!  He had his last day at The Office of Recovery Services yesterday!  Baylee and I went to visit him and help him bring his stuff home!  I think he will really miss working with the people that he worked with! It's been a really great job for the past 2 1/2 years!
We are really excited for his new job! He will be doing something that involves air quality, lead and asbestos. . .or something like that!  Mark just started his last semester in the MPA program at the University of Utah. So he'll finish that in December! Yeah!

Big girl bed and Snowbird trip!

We have big news Baylee has graduated from her crib and is now in her big girl bed! As you can see she could not be happier about the change!
Mark and I had been planning on converting her crib into a day bed sometime after her second birthday. But Baylee likes to do things her own way! Last Tuesday night she woke up and refused to go back to sleep for almost 3 hours! I would put her in her crib and she would cry and cry! It was almost 5 o'clock in the morning and I told Mark that if he went and got her I was pretty sure she'd go to sleep for him. But when he went in her room he smacked her with the door because she had climbed out of her crib and was standing by the door crying. We tried to get her to go back in her crib but she was not having it and climbed right back out.  So at 5:30 a.m. Mark took the front of her crib off and she slept in her big girl bed for about three hours.
Then on Wednesday we went to Snowbird.  So Baylee didn't get to sleep in her big girl bed for two nights.
We had a lot of fun in Snowbird Baylee loved the swimming pool and the playground! We also went on a little hike and just rested in our room!
This is a new thing Baylee has been doing with her shirts.  Again she likes to do thing her own way. . . I'm not quite sure how she does this but she's done it more than once.

This is Baylee relaxing with some watermelon and watching the wiggles!
Anyway so when we got home from Snowbird I was worried that Baylee wouldn't sleep in her bed, but she has done really well so far!  Every night she climbs in bed and goes right to sleep.  During nap time for the first few days I think she played more than she slept, but this week she's been pretty good at taking naps again!
